Class 11 English consists of two sections: Language Development and Literature.

The language development section is designed to enhance four skills of language:

a. Reading

b. Writing

c. Speaking

d. Listening.

In unit 1, language development section, there are twenty passages prescribed followed by varieties of exercise meant to enhance the comprehension capacity of the students. Passages from different genres and sections of life have been included in this section.

Likewise, the language development section also teaches students different compositions including essays, emails, paragraphs, news articles, etc. to enhance their writings. Similarly, the course materials have been designed and prepared also to foster students listening and speaking capacity.

On the other hand, the second section, the literature section consists of twenty literary texts of four major genres: poems, stories, essays, and plays.
